Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser.
I’m attacking The Hunt like there is no tomorrow. Fukuda has definitely created an interesting world with equally interesting characters. If this baby isn’t on your reading list (shakes fingers at you) then it really should be. It’s like The Hunger Games, which I totally love.
The heper girl is standing beside the pond. It picks up my briefs, holds them up for closer examination. Its nose crinkles–”crinkle” is the thing hepers do when they pull their facial skin together–in mild disgust.
Marty’s reading The Buntline Special: a Weird West Tale. It’s like Steampunk and Horror meet the Old West. If you saw the movie, Tombstone, just picture that with a supernatural twist and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect. Here’s Marty’s teaser.
“He’s quite something, this Ringo. Dead as a doornail, but animated. Smells like he’s been out in the sun for a few days. Starting to grow mold and mildew. But somehow or other, he walks, he talks -”
“And he kills,” interjected Holliday.
What kind of teasers do you have this week?
