In My Mailbox: TLA 2012 edition

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren that lets book bloggers and book lovers get a peek at some of the goodies that are floating around out there.

Hey Fictitious Musers!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us. Last weekend, the library celebrated its 25th birthday at its current location by opening our time capsule. It was loads of fun and a lot of work went into the preparation for the event. All the hard work was worth it though, especially when we saw how much fun everyone had.

Then, we took a trip to Houston for the HPL annual book sale. We went on bag day…you could get tons of yummy reads for only $10 a bag. I went absolutely crazy filling bag after bag for the library. In the end, we managed to make out like bandits with 10 bags. If you have the chance to attend this event next year, you should definitely go. It’s exhausting but well worth it.

This week, we headed for Houston again for the TLA conference. We had tons of fun, met awesome authors like Mary Lindsey, Jordan Dane, Candie Campbell, Lindsay Cummings, Joy Preble, Cherie Priest, Jessica Warman, Deborah Crombie and Tom Franklin. I’m sure that I left someone out and for that I’m so sorry. Did I mention books? They were everywhere we looked. It was a dream and a nightmare. Well, maybe not a nightmare, but definitely a little crazy. LOL

Now that I’ve bored you to tears, I’ll show you what goodies I got my hands on this week.

Enjoy!! Don’t forget to add these yummy treats to your reading list too. And now, I’m going to go put my feet up, because these dogs are barking after all that book-hunting. ;)
