Waiting on Wednesday: I’d Do Almost Anything For These
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
Hey there Fictitious Musers. We had a few technical difficulties with our PC the past few days and hopefully that crap has passed. This week we have three exciting new titles I haven’t seen around the blogosphere yet. I’m equally thrilled to devour each of them and when you see what they are I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa (Goodreads–Amazon)
Release date: 10/23/2012
This trilogy will star an older Ethan Chase, Meghan’s brother. I can’t wait to see what Kagawa has in-store for us. We can definitely count on it being a riveting story with awesome characters. I don’t know about you guys but I’m loving everything about this cover. Well almost everything…his eyes are a little strange but otherwise it’s brilliant. Awesome color choices. What do you think?
The Bridge by Jane Higgins (Goodreads–Amazon)
Release date: 10/09/2012
I’m loving dystopian and post-apocalyptic stories like crazy right now and this one sounds very interesting. The tiny little teaser of a summary on Amazon definitely has me marking my calendar for its release. The Bridge definitely has a gritty Article 5 feel to it.
The Diviners by Libba Bray (Goodreads–Amazon)
Release date: 9/18/2012
I think I’d rather enjoy being sent to live with a relative that worked at a place like the Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult. Can you imagine what creepy yet exciting things you might find tucked away in a place lie that. Let’s just go ahead and add a sweet little cherry on top of this fabulous fall read–there’s murder and a mysterious power too. Sounds like another awesome series for Bray. I’ll have to save a spot on the bookcase for this one.

Great picks! I’ve only read the first two books in the Iron Fey series. The Bridge and The Diviners both sound really good.

I’d give a limb or two for The Iron Prince! I was so spazzing a few weeks ago when I saw the cover reveal, it looks fab. And the other books look good too, I’m a big fan of Libba Bray and I can’t wait for The Diviners!

I haven’t started the Iron Fey series yet, I really need to! I loved The Immortal Rules so I’m really looking forward to it. Added The Bridge to my wishlist too, a couple of things about it remind me of Legend and I love Dystopian stories!
