The magic has arrived in new trailer for Once Upon a Time
If you watched the season finale of Once Upon a Time, then you got an idea of how drastically things will change in Season 2 as the magic from the fairytale characters’ enchanted kingdom is unleashed on the inhabitants of Storybrooke. Prince Charming, Snow White, Rumpelstiltskin, and the Evil Queen now have their memories (and powers) back, and a ton of new characters are being introduced, including Mulan and Captain Hook.
Season 2 of Once Upon a Time begins on ABC on September 30th, and it looks like we’re in for one heck of a wild ride as Regina (the Evil Queen) uses her newly-rediscovered powers on her attackers and Belle pleads to Mr. Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) to not give into hate.
This fairytale-inspired series took me by surprise with it’s original way of looking at familiar characters, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the upcoming season. I’m especially looking forward to seeing if Mr. Gold will continue to straddle the line between good and evil, or if he’ll finally stand with either one side or the other… which would make him a lot less interesting, in my opinion. Half the fun is watching him help the hero right after he helps the villain.

I kind of lost interest in Once Upon a Time when it became less about characters fighting the evil queen and more about romance.
Does it get better? I might try another episode or two.

I have to admit I came close to scratching this show off the must-watch list because of the drama focusing on Charming and Snow. I’m hoping that dedication (stubbornness?) is rewarded in Season 2 with the show focusing less on the couple. I know their situation is important to the show but there is so much more to work with than simply wondering if they’ll get back together.
Fingers crossed that this new season will focus on the whole gang.
