Character Interview: Meet Grace Indigo (The Color of grace by Linda Kage)
Today we’re participating in Linda Kage’s The Color of Grace Blog Tour and Grace Indigo is here to show us her true colors. So get comfortable and enjoy the ride.
Meet sixteen-year-old Grace Indigo:
Hey. When my mother remarried after thirteen years of being a widow, I had to move to a new town and enroll in a new school. Suddenly thrust into an entirely different kind of life, I just wanted to go home. I didn’t want to meet new people, didn’t want to leave my old friends, didn’t want to become a third wheel to my mom and her husband…and I really didn’t want to see Ryder Yates again. Ugh, I still don’t know why I turned down that too-good-to-be-true boy who flirted with me when we were attending separate schools.
But honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It was worse.
Who knew becoming lost in a new life could help a girl find her true colors?

Hi Grace! I’m so glad that you could drop by and visit with is today. Could you tell us a little about yourself?
Name: Grace Indigo
Age: Junior in high school.
Height: Ummm…five, eight maybe.
Hair color: “Dark hair stretching down past my shoulders…” –Grace
Eye color: “They weren’t that sparkly green like Ryder’s, but a pale version of brown, whiskey-colored and set deep enough into my head to give me a sort of soulful look.” –Grace
Dating Status: “I’d never been kissed, felt lame for being so inexperienced. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, wanted that little item checked off my life’s to-do list. Been kissed? Check.” –Grace
Distinguishing trait: “…tall enough forehead that I’d have to wear bangs for the rest of my life to hide all that expanse of skin above my eyebrows.” –Grace
Likes: Photography
Personality: “I was a rule-follower. I obeyed all forms of authority. I had never before encountered a situation where the authority was clearly wrong and I had to stand up for what was right.” –Grace
Catch phrase: “Honestly.” –Grace
Best line: “Well. I’m SO freaking happy I could give your best friend a reason to gloat in your face. Honestly. What girl doesn’t love being the object of a gloat?” –Grace
Why should she get the guy? “Of all the people in the crowded six hundred fifty-capacity gymnasium, I was the one to hit his radar.”–Grace
Thanks for stopping by Grace!

Hehe, I love this post! You’ve just picked out Grace’s best quotes and traits
I didn’t imagine Grace as 5’8” however. I imagined she’d be much shorter. Wasn’t Ryder like 5’10?
