Coral Russell’s Hauntingly Good Halloween Traditions and a Giveaway

Last year I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Amador Lockdown by Coral Russell and it’s a one of those reads that’s perfect for Halloween. It reminds me a lot of Ghost Hunters.  You can check out the review here.

It’s October! It’s my favorite season of the year! I know, I know it starts in September but October is when things kick into high gear.

When I was a teenager and too old to go trick or treatin’ I stayed home and had fun passing out candy (still do) and worked to scare myself by reading horror books and watching scary movies. I haven’t grown up yet. My family has a big collection of Halloween decorations to the point where it’s a bit too much work to put everything up each year.

I go on a horror movie binge and share quotes. I have my favorites that I watch every year and new ones people suggest. I’ve expanded to foreign movies to get my fix (A Tale of Two Sisters, [REC], Ju-on, Hood of Horror). And don’t kid yourself, they’re some of the scariest. I still pick a couple of horror books to read or start reading as well. This year I have Kingdom and Dark is the Day, Dead is the Night. Think you can scare me? Please suggest your favorite horror movie in the comments.

Are you a horror junkie during October? Well, I’m here to add to your fix. Fictitious Musings was gracious enough to let me do a giveaway of four eBooks. Two of Amador Lockdown and two of Playing with Fire in whatever format you prefer. I hope they scare you, just a little! o.~

Amador Lockdown

“You always save the best lies for yourself.” – Amador Lockdown

Something has moved into the Amador Hotel. Hector, Marcos, Bev, and Tony of the Paranormal Posse are called in to either debunk the haunting or get rid of whatever is causing the problems. With the surprise arrival of Hector’s son, he tries to keep his professional and personal lives separate, but whatever is haunting the Amador Hotel has other plans.

Playing with Fire

Scare easily? Are you often frightened out of your sleep? Does the mere mention of ghosts prickle your skin?

These seven authors’ imaginations are fired up by the scariness of the unknown.

Find a comfy spot, sit back and enjoy nine tales to tickle your taste for terror.
