Feature & Follow Friday

The Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by, Parajunkee @ Parajunkee’s View and Alison @ Alison Can Read.

Since GFC is a thing of the past for non-blogger blogs, we are now using  Linky Followers or subscribe via email.

Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

100s of books sounds great but mediocre…not so much. I would much rather fully enjoy the book I’m reading. So if it meant I had to read the same stunning title over and over again then I’d be totally okay with that. At the library, we always tell our patrons that life is way too short to read a sucky book. The only problem I’d have is picking which book to read over and over again. LOL

Welcome to Fictitious Musings. Follow Friday is a wonderful little meme that brings us book junkies closer together so we can spread our wings or our book knowledge, make new friends, and find some of the most awesome book blogs in the blogosphere.

This week’s FF question is:

What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don’t like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

Me and Hubby are sort of on common ground with this one. He just flat can’t stand love triangles. It seems like ever since Bella was torn between Edward and Jacob, every paranormal and urban fantasy has a love triangle. While Marty doesn’t like them in any shape, form, or fashion, I can work with it if the story doesn’t become overwhelmed by our heroine, who can take charge any other time, getting lost between two guys. Meanwhile, while she suffers all this emotional angst, the world is still being overrun by demons or zombies or something. Can we focus just a little bit? Save the world and worry over which guy is your dream hunk later. It’s called priorities.

What are your pet peeves? Leave a comment with a link to your blog and I’ll stop by to see what drives you batty.

Follow Friday: 11/25/11 – What I’m Thankful For

Welcome to Fictitious Musings. Please feel free to browse around to your heart’s content to burn off some of that turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc. Urp! I feel stuffed all over again just thinking about it.

This week’s FF question is:

Q: It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so we want to know what you are Thankful for – blogging related of course! Who has helped you out along the way? What books are you thankful for reading?

I’m thankful for hubby turning me on to the world of blogging. He started doing this crazy little thing called a book blog and it didn’t take long for me to get hooked. After lurking around for a little while, I finally took the plunge and started blogging too… and fell even more in love with it.

I’m thankful for all the wonderful authors that have honored us with guest posts, interviews, and the opportunity to review their books because, through them, I have discovered some awesome reads that I might not have found on my own.

Finally, I’m thankful for all the new friends I’ve made while blogging. The book-loving peeps out there make blogging a truly wonderful experience.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
