This week, our teaser is from Lia Habel’s Dearly, Departed. I’m loving the heck out of this book. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. I love the historical feel and coloring of the cover too. I’m definitely addicted to covers in the worst way. Just ask my husband and he’ll tell you how much a cover sells me on a book. So far, I’ve been lucky and haven’t bought a pretty cover with a crappy story. The time may come but until it does… well, it isn’t broken so I’m not fixing it. LOL

Teaser time…Are you ready?

I dared to look back and saw the thing baring its teeth at me, or what was left of them, as it tugged me closer. Another was latched on just beneath him, curling its gray tongue over a stain on one of the trellis crossbars. It was drinking my blood.     pg.59

Nora is in one sticky situation in this teaser. I wonder what will happen next?

I teased you. Now it’s your turn to tease me. Share your TT linky in the comments below and we’ll drop by for a visit.

This week’s teaser is set in the frozen wastelands of 1800′s Canada. Author Brian Moreland took pieces of actual history and filled in the gaps with a horror story that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is one of the most exciting reads of 2011 for me… and I haven’t even finished the book yet.

I’m on page 200 now, but knew this would be perfect for Teaser Tuesday as soon as I read it.

“His stomach ached for something meaty. Raw and bloody. He sniffed the air, his keen sense homing in on the nook where the girl was hidden. Beyond the scent of animal furs, Father Jacques inhaled the salty aroma of blood pumping through a heart.

Eat the girl! growled a voice inside the Jesuit’s head. Eat the lamb’s sweet meat.

Hungry for more? ;)

This week, I’m devouring Kendare Blake’s Anna Dressed in Blood and loving every ghostly moment of it. It’s the perfect Halloween read. Blake really keeps the hauntingly creepy details and ghoulish attacks coming in this outstanding page-turner. I’m dying for the next installment and I haven’t finished this one yet. It’s just that good.

Now it’s time to tease you guys. Are you ready? Anna’s coming!

Anna has pulled Mike through the window and into the house. He’s screaming and bawling like a caught animal, twisting in her grip and trying to keep from looking at her face. (Chapter 7, pg. 77)

Sounds frightening right? Anna is ghoulishly awesome. What’s my deal with the 7′s? With Anna hanging around, we need all the luck we can get.

I teased you. Now it’s your turn to tease me. Leave a link to your teaser in the comments and I’ll stop by for a visit.

Here’s a glimpse at Girl of Nightmares, the next installment in the Anna series. Release is set for August 2012. Gorgeous, right?
